My Art

Tulips were painted with PanPastels and sponge tool shown on Strathmore pastel paper. This painting was my first attempt at photorealism.

Sunset scene was painted on cotton watercolor paper with Sennelier soft pastels. This is my first painting using the pastels.

Paper pink cordyline houseplant. The leaves were cut out of pink cardstock and painted with PanPastels.

Mountain scene was printed on cotton watercolor paper with an inkjet printer and then painted with PanPastels and chalk pencils.

This scene was painted on 100% cotton muslin fabric. The night sky was painted using Brusho's. The stars were painted using the white Brusho, which was purely experimental. I didn't know if the white Brusho would dissolve with water and become transparent. It didn't. It stayed on the surface as a speck of white, making it perfect for stars. I further enhanced the stars with a white gel pen. The silhouettes of the moose and pine trees were colored in using a charcoal pencil.

Sunflowers were printed on bristol paper with an inkjet printer and then colored with PanPastels.

Cardinal was painted on Strathmore pastel paper using oil pastels. I painted this cardinal soon after the passing of my mother-in-law. She loved cardinals.

Cabin scene was thread-sketched with a regular sewing machine using black thread on heavy weight cotton fabric and then painted with oil paintstiks.

This fruit basket was sketched on cotton fabric with the Silhouette Cameo and then colored with Faber-Castell Polychromo pencils.
